(Ocimum basilicum L.)
Cultivated plant. The leaf is used as a carminative, diuretic and digestive aid. It contains many antiseptic ingredients that prevent the development of microorganisms.
It is used externally for sore throat (for gargling) and in places of local skin inflammation. The tincture is used to treat wounds that are difficult to heal.
It works against gas and bloating, to improve the appetite, regulate menstruation, increase breast milk, etc.
Pour 2 dl of boiled water over 2 teaspoons (4 g) of dry leaf, cover and leave for 15 minutes before straining. Drink the tea unsweetened between meals.
After 8 days, take a break of 14 days then repeat the therapy.
