Characteristics and effects: The most common cause of inflammation of the urinary tract is the bacterium Escherichia Coli. Active principles from cranberry extract, of which phenolic glycosides (arbutin and methylarbutin), flavonoids, proanthocyanidins, various organic acids (quinine, citric, malic) are especially important, have an antiseptic effect, and also have a diuretic effect (increased urine output) because they accumulate and are eliminated via the kidneys.

The extract from this plant is an aid in therapy and prophylaxis in people prone to urinary tract infections, such as inflammation of the kidneys (pyelonephritis), urethra (urethritis), bladder (cystitis), etc.

It is an effective means of relieving problems such as pain and stinging when urinating, frequent, difficult and nocturnal urination of small amounts of urine, etc.
