Ingredients: Aqueous-alcoholic extract of hawthorn leaf and flowers 1:4 (Crataegus laevigata).<\/p>\n
Energy value less than 1560 kJ\/371 kcal per 100 ml.<\/p>\n
Characteristics and effects: Active principles from hawthorn such as flavonoid glycosides, sterols, catechins, prostaglandins and oligomeric procyanidins, increase the strength of cardiac contraction (positive inotropic action), prolong the refractory period – acting antiarrhythmically, accelerate the conduction of impulses through the heart muscle, positively improve (positive dromotropic action) coronary flow and blood circulation through the myocardium, increase the heart’s tolerance to hypoxia (act in a milder form of coronary insufficiency – angina pectoris), lead to a slight decrease in peripheral vascular resistance, lowering blood pressure and having a mild diuretic effect.<\/p>\n
They help with heart failure, class II (patients who have mild limitations in physical activity).<\/p>\n
They alleviate symptoms of fatigue, rapid fatigue, palpitations, dyspnea (difficulty breathing), and the appearance of anginal pain.<\/p>\n
Hawthorn-based preparations are used for “”heart nervousness””, senile heart, atherosclerosis, exhibiting cardiotonic, antiarrhythmic, hypotensive and vasodilatory effects and thus contribute to alleviating symptoms and improving the work of the entire cardiovascular system.<\/p>\n
